Hi, I'm Sara Pearce, founder and sole Physiotherapist at SP Physio.
I studied Physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham and qualified with a Bsc (Hons) in 2009. Throughout my student life I was committed to sports injury and rehabilitation, carrying out Rugby Physio for UoB Rugby club and Lichfield Rugby club, alongside my full time Physiotherapy degree. As part of my course I did a placement at Premiership club, Worcester Warriors.
Due to my commitment to sports physiotherapy I was able secure my first full time job, as team Physiotherapist to the Championship RFU team Coventry Rugby club. The Club were relegated and I was in a position that a full time Clinician was no longer needed, I therefore moved from professional rugby into the NHS.
I built my career working full time in Exeter with the NHS and part time Rugby Physio for Honiton Rugby club.
In 2014 I took the decision to set up my own private Physiotherapy clinic in Lyme Regis, working at B! Health and Fitness Gym. I combined Sport Physiotherapy, Injury prevention and post op management with Rehabilitation and Pilates. At the end of 2017 I went on Maternity leave to have my first child. I returned to practice with the help of my family at the beginning of 2018. I have set up SP Physio in Whalley lane, Uplyme and I am also venturing into a second venue at the wellness centre in Axminster. I am continuing my Career in the NHS as a lower limb clinical specialist to compliment the work I will be conducting at SP Physio.
